The Stars are Legion has some pretty toxic lesbians and lots of body horror in it. I love the book myself, but it might not be so viable for rp.

There's a very toxic couple in the book Escaping Exodus by Nicky Drayden!

In a distant future, the remnants of humanity live in space whales, modifying them to be comfortable homes and gradually killing them over several years, then packing up to move to a new one. The book follows the heir to the matriarch and her lower class best friend-slash-love interest discovering the true tolls of their lifestyles and the massive systemic inequality therein.

I'm not sure Drayden actually realizes how toxic those two are, I hated that heir and was infuriated that her lover never even needs an apology, because she loves her. and boy does the second half of the book not live up to the first half. But there's a lot of interesting body horror and a strange setting going on.
