I'm finally getting a thread for the first time where someone is giving my character shit for being so self-defeating. this is so much fun having someone actually push them for once

my friend and i have accumulated 250k+ words on our psl this past year

after being tsundere about it for years, finally admitted to myself i enjoy writing smut and i'm having so much fun

ancient personal hang-ups, then perfectionism about writing it "right". easier to pretend i just didn't care about or like it, haha

i know there are people who truly just don't enjoy writing smut, but for me it was a skill issue!

with metaphor refantazio coming out tomorrow i'm going to finally pick up a brand new muse

it'll be the first time in over four years, so even though it'll take time to get through the game and get the voice down, i'm really excited for it :^) i'm also excited to see who will be floating around on dw from the cast by the time i get out there (probably in a month and hopefully before the holidays kick off, but we'll see on that one)

I've been SO busy lately but this friday evening I'm getting to chill on my couch playing powerwash simulator and firing back tags as quick as I get 'em while wrapped up in an electronic blanket and it's the best

got an idea for a low-commitment gpsl/sandbox thing for my friends and instead of letting it pass i set it up

its slow going but my friends are playing in it! theyre having little threads and plotting things! i dm but ive never modded before, so i didnt anticipate the joy sparking from seeing people play with each other in a silly little thing i set up

some of the stuff I really loved got dropped/relegated to one tag a month status, however I started getting new long term stuff going that’s really doing it for me. I’m very grateful and hoping it doesn’t get dropped eventually as well.

started a thread with a new player in my game and boy oh boy are our characters and writing styles clicking so well. the chemistry is crazy good, and i'm doing a lil happy dance every time i get one of their tags in my inbox

i'm writing a smut thread as a canon pillow queen and having a surprising amount of fun! i like writing the duality of them being too prideful to let themselves react openly and internally being very, very into it. it's also fun coming up with small, subconscious ways they approve.

bonus that it's fun to read the top going all in because he wants to drive the bottom nuts so he'll react more openly, the desperation is really cute (and sad, i really feel for the top). i just hope the other person is having fun too! i worry about not giving them enough. canon is canon and all, but staying flexible in rp keeps things fun. especially with this kinda setup.

good for you anon!! as someone who loves threads with canon (key word) pillow queens, the thing that keeps it fun is that internal narrative, so it sounds like you're doing it right! obviously i can't speak for all top-writers, but i def prefer when the pillow queening feels IC and stays that way and gives my character more incentive to figure the other one out (as opposed to kinda throwing in the towel for fear of losing the player's interest).

thank you anon!! i'm surprised to hear it but also glad, this was one of my concerns when picking up the character. i like the figuring things out angle though, whether that's between the sheets or just gen reactions. characters striving to understand each other is really fun to play out, at least for me!

really curious how you know a character is a canon pillow queen, i'm not gonna lie. unless it's a character from a yaoi or something, isn't that just a headcanon?

this sounds fun actually, i'd be down to write w someone who understood this/didn't do it as a mechanism. i think if something is very ic, then anything goes/the characterization no's of rp don't apply (re: pillow queen stuff). glad you're having fun anon!!
