Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I'm all for a slow-burn challenge, but I need the person I'm tagging to give me SOMETHING, ANYTHING or at the very least give me a response to what I've already given them.

I'm happy to drop plot breadcrumbs to lead people into plots, but when the character is sitting there thinking "stupid breadcrumbs what are the breadcrumbs for i hate breadcrumbs why would anyone breadcrumb me towards something. i'm not following any of those 30 different directions we could go in. fuck your breadcrumbs i'm staying right here and refusing to do a single engaging or remotely interesting thing" it's just a waste of breadcrumbs.
And it does start to read a lot less like IC moodiness when it goes in that direction.

maybe your breadcrumbs feel too much like you're trying to push them in a certain direction. personally i hate that in tags. i don't reply with hostility but it annoys me oocly

Maybe? I usually try to offer them in multiples that could go different ways, or to open up the possibility for some kind of "try to throw croutons into each others mouths" mutual crumbing action.

Which may have been the problem, since someone mentioned people with this RP style seem to like more direction. I'm really not good at taking the lead like that.

Subthread anon- in this case it's more like "So stupid if X to think that Y would be interested in breadcrumbs. Breadcrumbs killed his father and X should know that. X is terrible at this"

Like alright I guess we're good here, this seems like a clear indicator that this is not CR you want.
