Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.

1) Hitting me right in the Invader Zim nostalgia feels
2) Some rlly fun songs actually, they don't all work for me but there's some bops in here
3) Some rlly fun lines, it makes me laugh
4) Some rlly fun character types
5) More arresting emotional arcs than I'd ever have expected

like a few anons here are saying, honestly it's the music that's grabbing people. almost all of them are catchy. and once you think "okay nothing can top this song", you somehow get roped in to watch the next episode and that song becomes more of an earworm than the last.

I like over designed looks, not even joking. Think it looks great.

Also people who judge entire shows of appearances will miss out on a lot of great stuff, so you know. Sad for you.

not only that, but the creator is a known racist transphobe. each to their own, but not a fuck am i supporting someone who capitalises off the queer community, while having that in their recent history.

pretty sure there are shows out there that look better, and have genuine representation. fandom needs to raise its standards.

Eh, I wouldn't worry too much about it, anon. Most games have a rule that new series need to be 6 months old before you can apply them anywhere. If anything, we'll just seem them all over in bakerstreet. And who knows by then, the hype will die down.

Unless season 2 will be release between now and the 6 months.

I feel like this whole thread needs to learn the concept of "if there's a popular canon half of DWRP seems to be in love with and gushing over all the time, and I do not like that canon/think the art is ugly/hate the concept/am put off by the things I've heard, that does not mean that its existence is an affront to me or that the fans should quarantine their excitement to a single-fandom space. It means I do not like the thing, and I don't have to tag the inevitable flood of characters to my game, so I should stop whining about it."

I already heard elsewhere it has graphic s/a so I know to avoid it but ive had two plurk friends now try to get me to watch it, fully knowing thats something that upsets me. ffs just be mindful when you want to get people to enjoy your new shiny series that it isnt for everyone

any casts forming anywhere so far? kind of torn between picking up lucifer, alastor, and/or stolas (which i guess is semi-demi-crosscanon) and it would be nice to play off other characters in a game setting.

Today I got to enjoy a man in his 60s laughing until he cried because of this canon.

Lilith came up as a concept, he wasn't sure who they were, I told the biblical version, he googled it and it pulled up some Hazbin deets. He found the sentence ‘Lilith is the first wife of Adam, wife of Lucifer, Queen of Hell and mother of Charlie’ incredibly funny out of context.

Good job.
