yes, actors are not their characters. but the characters are played by a real person, with a face and a family. no its not the worst thing a celebs family is going to see but 500 tag raunchy non-con threads are not something id feel comfortable having my face anywhere near. more than one actors marriage has fallen apart or gone cold because their spouse couldnt handle the fandom. imagine an 8 year old kid doing a google search of their parent to find raunchy fanart or fanfiction.
it's not the same degree as raunchy fanart or photo edits of the character's popular ship kissing with the actor's face but it's still a bit invasive.

early on some of the supernatural actors deans especially were clearly uncomfortable with how aggressive the fandom was. yes he 'signed up for it when he took the role' but did he really expect the show to take off that hard?
